Kim Delaney was an American actor from the United States. Her most well-known role is because of her part as the detective Diane Russell, in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue. For this she won an Emmy Award. The most notable role she has played is her part as a character in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the sole daughter of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife who was a housewife. Her upbringing was within a household which included four brothers. She envisioned becoming a court reporter during her early years, but began modeling in high school eventually garnering commercials after moving into New York. Her first appearance as an actor was as a young girl in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. Delaney was a talented young actress in the 80s, has been featured in numerous TV shows and in dramas. The professional life she has had is more successful than her private life. She is talented and beautiful, has battled addiction to alcohol in the past. Her marriages have also been unsuccessful twice. Her custody in 2005 was taken away from her.
