Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as Dreamville Records' debut female singer on Dreamville Records by J. Cole. The first single, Pho on October 21 2016, was released through Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, debuted on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music onto the internet back in 2012 after she dropped her first mixtape called Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. In 2014 Ari Lennox released her single Bound and the mixtape she self-released, Five Finger Discount. In 2015, she appeared on Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, which came out on the 21st July. released on the 21st of July. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew back then, wanted to have her perform on Rihanna references. On the 8th of December, it was announced that she was signed to Dreamville Records. She made an appearance on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. On October 21 2016 the artist released her debut album titled Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track, and performed on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018, she appeared in two songs, with the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July in 2018 she released her debut single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video for it was also released on September 5th. She released her second single called Grampa on the 9th of November. On the 13th of November two singles, titled The No One and pedigree. They then teamed up in the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track titled Shea Butter Baby on November 16, and it was released as a single on the 26th of February 2019 for her debut album the same name. A music video debuted 20 February 2019 in order in conjunction with the song. Within the first week, it had over 3,000,000 views. As a supporting act she performed together with 6LACK during December 2018 on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
